Philip founded his home studio where he spent time mastering his trade designing and manufacturing leadlight and stained glass windows. His skills were quickly recognised by a well-established door industry that commissioned him to design not only windows and stained glass leadlights but also the doors themselves.
Due to the demand of his services the business expanded to High Street Armadale. Armadale Doors & Leadlight began to develop a client base designing for many builders and architects across Australia including simple homes to Grand Manors.
After 16 years positioned on High Street Armadale, A, D& L moved to a larger factory in Malvern to accommodate the demand for hardware and standard doors. After conducting extensive research A, D& L were able to increase there market to include the major hardware distributors in Australia and also source hardware from around the world that is now included in the standard range of elegant and affordable luxury entrance sets.
Over the last 40 years A, D & L have sourced and collected original old glass up to 100 years old. This glass is constantly used in the restoration and manufacture of reproduction leadlight and stained glass panels.
Armadale Doors and Leadlight has grown to the business that it is today due to the meticulous attention to design and detail which is reflected in every facet, shown particularly in the superior standards and workmanship.
